Do you hate traditional Christmas tree ornament hangers as much as I do? Wire hangers are always a jumbled mess, resulting in a tug of war between you and about 20 other hangers; it’s a puzzle more difficult to solve than a Rubix Cube. Ornaments that come with a thread loop result in a tug of war between you and the tree branch. Either way it’s a no win situation.
However, I believe I have a solution! After I decorated our main Christmas tree this year, I had a Simply Tangerine moment and the burlap light bulb went off.
Why don’t I tie the ornaments to the tree with my trusty burlap threads?!
I still needed to decorate the fake mini tree I place in our entryway and decided to test my idea on it. I gladly snipped the factory supplied thread loop off the ornaments, strung some burlap thread through the openings, and tied them to my tree.
Easy, pretty, and no tug of war games were necessary. When it’s time to pack up the Christmas decorations I can easily cut the burlap threads to remove the ornaments. I will definitely be using burlap threads on my main tree next year! Maybe you will join me!
