Ingredients
  1. 1 cup gluten free flour
  2. 1/2 cup brown sugar
  3. 1/2 cup white sugar
  4. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided
  5. 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  6. 1 pinch salt
  7. 1/2 cup Earth's Best Soy Free Buttery Spread
  8. 1 cup gluten free oats
  9. 1 cup chopped walnuts
  10. 1/3 cup white sugar
  11. 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  12. 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  13. 6 cups apples - peeled, cored and chopped
  14. 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  15. So Delicious Vanilla Bean Coconut Milk "Ice Cream" (optional, but not really)
Instructions
  1. 1) Peel, core, and chop apples. Place in slow cooker.
  2. 2) Combine flour, brown sugar, 1/2 cup of white sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt together in a bowl. Add butter to the flour mixture and mix using fingers or a fork. Work buttery spread into flour mixture until a course crumb topping is formed. Stir in oats and walnuts and set aside.
  3. 3) Mix together 1/3 cup sugar, cornstarch, ginger, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
  4. 4) Add cornstarch mixture to apples and stir until apples are coated. Add lemon juice and stir.
  5. 6) Sprinkle the walnut oat crumb topping on top.
  6. 7) Cover and cook on High for 2 hours until apples are tender.
  7. 8) Partially uncover the slow cooker to allow the topping to harden and cook on low for another hour.
  8. 9) Serve over So Delicious Vanilla Bean Coconut Milk Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert
